Choosing the right venue is a crucial step in the wedding planning process, as it sets the stage for your entire celebration. Here are some of my tips that will help you find the perfect location for your special day.
First, consider the style of your wedding. Are you envisiging a grand affair in a historic mansion, a cozy gathering in a rustic barn, or a beach ceremony with the sound of waves in the background? The venue should align with your overall theme and vibe. This theme should represent you both. Make a list of venues that match your vision and narrow it down based on your preferences. (I’ve found that mood boards are the best way to visualise).
Next, think about the guest list. The size of your venue should accommodate your guests comfortably. It’s essential to strike a balance between a space that feels intimate but also spacious enough to avoid it looking overcrowded. When you visit potential venues, make sure to visualise how you want to guests seated. This includes things such as spacing, interaction and being comfortable.
Make sure you take your time in choosing the right venue, because you want to create a memorable atmosphere that enhances your wedding day experience for all. Happy venue hunting!
